Purvi Desai hails from the glorious city of Vancouver, British Columbia and after attending University of BC for her undergrad she completed her Masters of Physiotherapy at the University of Manchester in the UK. Graduating in 2001, she ventured out to find mountains and snow and ended up in Colorado. Her travels have included hospitals and private practices from Rifle, Glenwood Springs, Aspen and Vail. Her interests have centered on an orthopedic setting, specializing in manual therapy, functional dry needling, functional movement screens, selective movement assessments, post surgical rehab and sports medicine rehab. She also has been heavily involved with specialized sports physiotherapy with Rugby and multiple National and International teams. Recently she rekindled her love of hockey ( being Canadian and all) and can’t wait to dive in! Looking forward to create a Concussion Clinic and promote more comprehensive athlete profiles to help maintain and progress athletes in all arenas. This clinic is a different access clinic, I won’t be taking insurance but you can still submit visits to your insurance. This works for athletes because sometimes immediate care and well diagnosed care is necessary vs lost time in not getting into the appropriate practioners. I started doing rinkside coverage with the Hawks last year and I hope to create a more preventative and progressive model of rehab for your athletes.
